Since I wasn’t able to post my scheduled Sunday Snapshots, I’m combining it with Musical Mondays for today. I mentioned in my Saturday post that I wanted to organize my blog into scheduled themes each day, and the others will be revealed throughout the week. Before I commence, though, I’d like to thank the men and women who died for our country. Without their enormous sacrifice, America would not be the country it is. Thank God for our armed forces, and I’m proud to honor them on Memorial Day.

Over the weekend, I explored some of the beauty in west Georgia, and as I’ve mentioned before, I love Georgia and could never imagine living elsewhere. This week’s musical choice is Georgia on My Mind
, as sung by the talented legend, Mr. Ray Charles. He captures the very essence of Georgia through the song, and I’d be really surprised if you weren’t acquainted with this popular old-school favorite. Enjoy the song and the pictures from my exploits with my beautiful family throughout Douglasville, Carrollton, Bowdon and Villa Rica from over the weekend!

Haha I grew up in the country and we had white ducks like that. I had a pet rooster that sat on my shoulder like a parrot
I've seen them lay on their back like that too..how funny
I love to read when people honor the military-it's hard when you see hatred towards them. I'm military but that doesn't mean I want to go to war…it's just what it is. So thanks
That means a lot. Nice blog too btw and cute photos
