Lupton Hall at Oglethorpe University--Registrar, financial aid, and other fun stuff
I graduated from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta several years ago, but I continually return to campus to admire the architecture and stroll down memory lane. I love nature, but I also love beautiful buildings, and this was a key factor in my decision to pursue my education at Oglethorpe. Enjoy the photos and the music that recalls those fleeting, but wonderful, years in my life.

A lovely building, I can see why you go back there too. My first thoughts when I came across the pond to live were: "Where are all the brick buildings?' Most buildings were/are made of wood here whereas in the UK wood is not in such huge abundance and most houses are built from brick and concrete. The UK is filled with such historical buildings like this of yours. Westminster Abbey has more than 1000 years of history. I love history.Lovely memories to have, glad I read this..
What a beautiful campus, Amberr. I went back to visit my campus a couple of years ago and I can't tell you the number of memories that came flooding back! It was sweetness for the soul.Blessings,~Erin
Wow, it looks just lovely- I had several art history classes in college, where we studied architecture and I gained a great respect and awe for it. It's so beautiful there- I'm sure you enjoy it!I'm here from VB.
How beautiful. Makes me wish I could return to my old university. Something about walking amongst all those wise walls where so much wisdom has walked before you.
Wow, that's just gorgeous! I'm feeling a little green over here…I went to a satellite campus of Arizona State University and the architecture was nothing to gawk at, that's for sure! I can see the draw to go there. And the car out in front of Phoebe Hearst Hall – Beautiful as well!! Visiting from vB!MandiSmile and Mama With Me
Your photos are beautiful, they don't seem to make buildings like that anymore. My campus was fairly modern and rather boring, I much prefer your old campus' architect to mine

It truly is beautiful!
What a beautiful campus! Has that traditional feel in its architecture.
I have driven by this University many times but have never been on campus. It certainly looks beautiful!
The stone architecture reminds me of West Point.Cheers,Pete

I wish I could go back to my old college, but I live 1300 miles away now. I can't even imagine how it would feel to walk through the park there again…

What a gorgeous campus!!! It looks right out of a movie! I went to acting school and then later college in NYC, very different!! What a lovely post!
Thank you for visiting me, and the lovely comments you left, they are so appreciated.

I love that campus. I also like Berry College over in Rome.
Very Cool School…
Very Cool Road trip…
I had fun with you, as always, my rebellicious friend.
Connie, Berry is awesome!
It was enchanting, Cheryl. I miss that girl I was when I first entered those doors. It was quite some time ago. Thanks for your lovely comment.
Daydreamer, my pleasure!
Kathy, awesome to learn a bit more about you. and thank you for the kind words. :0)
Mandi, I'd love to drive that car. It's so much more appealing than my little ole' civic. Haha!
Jenn, Maybe you can plan to get out there at some point? You never know.
Teachermum, that's exactly how I feel!
Brae, I did enjoy it the entire time I was there, until I walked away with a degree in hand. Thanks for your comment :0)
Erin, I can only imagine. Big hugs and blessings your way, too!
Daydreamer, I would love to explore the buildings in the UK with my camera in hand. I know there are magnificent places.
It was a lot less strict than West Point, though, I'd imagine, Pete. Thanks for your comment!
Marina, It was one of the best experiences I've had.
Maria, the school was established in 1835, and I'm glad they are working to preserve the traditional feel. It was almost sacred.
Ec, I think so, too, and that's why I was thrilled to share it here. Take care!
