Trytophan and Black Friday Stampedes

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

If you’re traveling for the holiday, be safe and enjoy this special time with friends and family. If you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, that’s okay, too. I wish everyone a beautiful day full of  blessings.

I’ll be back with the other tidbits tomorrow, provided I don’t get trampled during the Black Friday stampedes. I’m taking pepper spray just in case, and I’ve decided I am only going to one store for one item at midnight after Thanksgiving, and then I’m getting the hell out of there as fast as possible.

Large, hostile crowds unnerve me, and as a result, I’ve never ventured out of the house during Black Friday–EVER. But I’m just broke enough to be brave enough to get out in it this year. If I happen to find a comparable deal online deal, I’ll go that route. If not, pray for me…

  1. Okay…sharp, pointy elbows out, head down. Use the cart to your advantage and don't fall for the old-lady routines. It's a ruse. They're vicious.
If anyone offers to hold your place in line, again…it's a trick. Sneer and suggest they hold the end of the line up for the rest of you.

    Got it? On three…one…two…three…BREAK!

Have a very happy day tomorrow. ;)

    • I dodged the Black Friday bullet! Yippee! If I ever do get sucked in to doing it, I'll follow your advice, Maureen:-)

  2. I wouldn't go out either, not unless it was something we desperately needed…I don't believe in simply giving out 'I wants' at all. I wants gets on special occasions, not just because they're there. I'm English and we don't 'do' Thanksgiving either but, they have it here in Canada too and though I cook a meal, chicken breast.s for it we're not big on it either. Have a nice break.

    • Bren, I'm really in agreement on that. I did enjoy the break :-)

Thank you for reading and commenting. I appreciate you!

  3. I had to Google Trytophan and Black Friday Stampedes, as I hadn't a clue what this meant! Glad you are staying at home until midnight Amberr ;) It sounds like it's too much hard work, especially after all the cooking on Thanks Giving, which I hope you are enjoying right now.
My thanks to you especially on this day ;)

    • Trich, I got lucky and others were cooking this year. I got to have all the joy and none of the work. It was lovely. I am thankful to you, too, for being so supportive. Thank you!

  4. 2 years ago when I was living in Canada, I witnessed Black Friday sales first hand. It was scary!
