Radically Random Music
Welcome back for another installment of Music Monday! This week I decided to share a few random songs I’ve listened to this past week while in the car, during the wee hours while writing my book, and during the day while performing mundane tasks. Some of the songs are older, some are new, but all are entertaining (at least to me). Enjoy!
Garth Brooks-The Dance (Ciara, this one is your fault
)
Travis Porter ft. Tyga-Ayy Ladies (Clean)
Kernkraft 400-Zombie Nation
Nirvana-Man Who Sold The World
Beethoven-Moonlight Sonata

Yeah, Moonlight Sonata! So provocative!
I’m so tired of country. I over played it about 10 years ago and just wore it out. I have all these country music CD, including about 4 from Garth, that I just can’t listen to anymore.
Love me some techno now and then.
I love “Midnight Cowboy” by John Barry (before your time).
Any Gordon Lightfoot or Neil Diamond.
Lindsey Stirling
John Schmidt/Steven Sharp Nelson-The Piano Guys
That’s what I’m currently into.
Irene, thanks for throwing in some good choices. I’m not a country music enthusiast, but I do love me some Garth!
Diverse music choice! Love it!
Thanks, Connie, I am so glad!
Hi Amberr — Thanks for sharing the music. Only Garth can sing The Dance in my world LOL. All I’ve been listening to lately is Undun by The Roots (to write up a recommendation) and it is so amazing . . . you’d probably love it too. I also love their old song Water, a long ten-minute tune, from Phrenology.
Justin, I agree with your feelings on Garth. I have heard some BAD karaoke, and the worst part? The singer thought they really were the next Garth.
Ahhh Garth, my wife’s favorite song and singer, I have some original artwork with him in it, autographed. Yes, she is like that LOL.
How about some Iron Butterfly for us old farts?
Peter, I’ll be more than happy to oblige the old farts in next week’s segment.
How about songs blast from the past? Lisa Loeb “Stay,” for instance. I am such a 90′s chick. xD
Eileen, “Stay” is one of my all time favorite songs. It is amazing! (And I’m totally a 90′s woman, too.)
Eileen, I haven’t heard that in forever! Thanks for the suggestion!
Oh my goodness, I loves me some Garth! (It’s a secret between you & me.) I play him for the toddler when the big kids are at school and we have lots of fun playing “cowboy!”
Jenn, secret is totally safe with me
How about some Aretha Franklin for next week?
Jenn, I love Aretha. Expect to see her coming up soon!
I took piano lessons for about a year when I was younger–never did get to Moonlight Sonata status, but whenever I hear it I wish I could play it. ;p You have great taste in music!
Adriene, I wish I could play it, too, and since I can’t, I’ll just keep enjoying listening.
I love that we both do #MusicMonday – you on your blog and me on my Facebook Page. Today I honored Axl Rose on his 50th birthday and remembered Bob Marley on what would have been his 67th birthday. Dennis Prager said that music is God’s drug…I think he’s right!
I love Bob Marley, and I’ll be sure to include him for this week. Thanks for dropping in, Bruce
Hi Amberr,
Absolutely love your music clips…I will dance all the way up to bed tonight.
I just gave you the Liebster Blog Award…go check it out: http://viviankirkfield.wordpress.com/2012/02/07/academy-award-of-the-blogosphere-the-liebster-award/
Thank you so much, Vivian! I really appreciate that
You had me at Nirvana!
Krystal, I’m so glad I was able to reel you in. Hehe!
This is fun, I’m digging music Monday.
Man who sold the world was the first, and last, song I learned on the guitar.
YeeHaw – see ya later Amberr. Ps – I’m also allergic to BS
Tony, were you into the whole grunge phase? I was 13 when Cobain killed himself. It was a senseless tragedy, and there were lots of rumors and mysterious talk surrounding his death. It seems to have died over the years.
Have loved “Moonlight Sonata” from the first moment I heard it. How about Stevie Nicks? I heard “Dreams” last night, and had forgotten how good it sounds. This past week have been listening to Barry White, Adele, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Al Green, Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, and Bob Marley – quite a diverse group LOL
I love your taste in music, L. Thompkins!
Nirvana has the best Bowie cover of all time. Man who stole the world, great version… even if it was MTV.
One of my favorite past times, sitting back with an ice cold glass of, ahem, filtered water and listening to Nirvana cover Man Who Sold The World.
Props for the Beethoven.
Oops, sorry about the formatting error! Here’s where to find an ice cold glass of water for your listening and tasting pleasure.
We Are Young by Fun. Loving that tune!!
Yes, Pam! Exactly. I’m still a baby
