Last Minute Creative Halloween #DIY Projects

Late for Halloween? Here are some last minute DIY projects to make your home into a fun, spooky abode.
If you’re scrambling around looking for last minute Halloween décor pieces at the stores and unfortunately come home empty handed, why not ditch the decorations at the shops and create your own projects instead? Look around your home and use what you already own. Think outside the box and use old pond liners to create a ghost outside your home and utilize natural elements such as twigs, leaves, and other pieces to create a Halloween wreath to hang on your back door. Don’t stop there! Continue to use your imagination and come up with extra amazing Halloween décor pieces that will make your home appear spooky and delightful.
Turn Empty Cartons into Ghostly Halloween Objects
If you have milk cartons waiting to recycle, it’s time to use them for a fun Halloween project. Dig out your black sharpie and draw ghost faces on the cartons and then light them up with glow sticks that you’ll place inside of them. On Halloween night place the cartons outside your front door and watch the ghosts glow in the moonlight. They will look wonderful and also will certainly add a great addition to the Halloween ambiance. You’ll no doubt enjoy greeting your trick or treaters while showing off your DIY ghost cartons that evening.
Trace Halloween Bats on Black Cardstock
If you’d like to add something simple to your house like black bats print out a bat pattern on the internet and then trace the bat over and over again on black cardstock. After this you can cut out the bats and either laminate them with packaging tape or take them to the print shop if time allows. Tape them up on the side of your home with duck tape or another type of tape that will stay up but won’t damage your home. It will create a frightening Halloween effect that’s easy to create on the side of your home.
Fabric Masks with Sequins and Sparkles
If you’re having a hard time coming up with a costume idea a mask with a black outfit for instant superhero attire will always do the trick! Trace a mask pattern on some great fabric and once done with the mask pattern cut it out and glue it on to a hard piece of cardstock. Next you’ll need to find a hold puncher to punch a hole on each side of the mask so that you can tie ribbon on it to attach it to your face. Afterwards decorate the mask with sequins, sparkles, and whatever else you’d like to use. You could also use tulle for a see through effect or markers to add to the color and shape of the mask.
