Love & the Ninja: Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder by KissMe Organics

Disclosure: I received this product as part of an advertorial.

I’m not a heavy breakfast eater, so I often resort to fruit and milk smoothies or yogurt and granola. Both are filling and give me the energy I need to start my day–along with a generous cup of coffee, of course. I decided the best way to enjoy Organic Matcha Green Tea powder,  by KissMe Organics, would be by starting with a simple smoothie, and the result tasted delicious. I felt like I was getting a real boost, and my energy lasted longer than it normally does.

With so many health benefits and uses, Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder is a must

The powder is all natural and organic and free of chemicals and preservatives, and claims to be anti-aging, calorie burning, and energy boosting. Green tea is known for its positive effects on the body, so a concentrated powder that goes well in food and beverages seems like a win-win to me.

Per the manufacturer, Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder provides the following:

  • All day energy
  • Metabolism boost
  • Increased focus
  • Improved skin health
  • 137x antioxidants of brewed green tea

I can attest to the fact I’ve noticed an energy boost, and I don’t really have skin problems, so I can’t tell whether or not Organic Matcha Green Tea powder is making a difference there. I’m sure there is some free-radical fighting going on with the powerful antioxidants, and I’m pretty sure I’ve been experiencing a metabolic boost, if my consistent weight loss in the past couple of months is an indicator. I love the green tea powder, though, and since it is culinary grade, I plan to take it beyond smoothies soon and see if I can get my daughter and other family members enjoying the benefits of the energy increase.

Curious about KissMe Organics Matcha Green tea powder? You can order it on Amazon here. It might seem a little pricey at $25.00 a bag, but I assure you, a little goes a long way. The recommended dose is only 1/2-1 teaspoon per day, so your bag will last for awhile. I’ve decided to share my super simple banana smoothie recipe, which requires few steps, and is ready to drink in minutes when blended with my super awesome Ninja Master Prep Food Processor.

What you’ll need to make a super simple banana (or whatever) smoothie:

  • A fruit of your choosing to blend (I do bananas and strawberries mostly)
  • Ice
  • Milk
  • KissMe Organics Matcha Green Tea Powder
  • Blender

See, simple? Not quite as simple as making mac n’cheese in the box, but easy enough. Here are images detailing each step of the smoothie making process below:

Step 1: Throw in 2-3 bananas. I am a huge banana fan, so I’m generous with the amount. Step 2: Pour 1-2 cups of milk. I use whole, but it’s up to you how you do it. (Ignore the less than healthy Fiddle Faddle in the background. This is not part of the recipe :)) Step 3: Throw some ice in the ninja or the blender. Less or more depending on preference. Step 4: Throw in a generous dose of Organic Matcha green tea powder (plan to share the smoothie) The ninja handles smoothies with stealth and quickness. Voila! The finished product– Extremely delicious if you love bananas. Drink until full. Share some, too, if you have someone else in the house who wants to try it.

I will continue purchasing the KissMe Organics Matcha Green Tea Powder, because it has shown real potential in the kitchen, and it especially allows for me to have a reasonably light, but nutrient and energy-boosting breakfast. Whip up a smoothie and tell me me what you think!
